Although am not into trance music but if ever I want to adjunct, I would love to integrate classical with trance. For the ears of a layman like me, this is really a marvelous piece. Drone sound perfectly fits with vocals and love how the beats jump into the song in the start. Putting reverb on beats might have sounded muddy so beats are fine as well. Just my opinion as per my taste. 5/5 without doubt :)

Thank you kind sir!

Samulis...man!!! Where do you get such beautiful and hit ideas from? Yes I second JosephAS1. More catchy from 0:45 and onwards. Yes, whole piece is great as always, awesome, as always!

samulis responds:

My ideas come from three years of trying to write better and better- practice and understanding of orchestration through practical experience. The style of this music is easy to understand once you know the feel well enough... I can practically write this sort of thing in my sleep I have written it enough. With several years of composing, you too will be the same if you wish it.

Christmas songs are always cheerful, but you made it soothing as well. Wonderful job my friend.

JosephAS1 responds:

Thanks!, glad you like it :)

Congrats on winning the second place in contest and very happy Christmas to you and your family. Your place in the contest itself tells you about the standard of the song :)

Its a good melodious composition. Chord combination is a win win combo. Addition of a sub base could have more impact on the sounds. Overall very nice and emotional. Keep on doing more like this one :)

80 plays and 11 downloads. People are deaf or sleeping or what??

Great song my friend. Peaceful vibes and soothing environment. Great cinematic feel. To my ears I don't find any place for improvement. Everything is perfect. Many thanks for a beautiful song and special thanks to those who participated. Congrats :)

samulis responds:

Thanks for the comment, I really wanted to get that gentle feel down after all the dark epic stuff. :D

Breathtaking .....simply marvelous. The chord combination minor becoming major....wow man!!! Best for emotional scene. If you mind telling which reverb you have used? Anyways thanks for sharing such an epic work. Too inspirational for cinematic.

samulis responds:

using a reverb setting that's part of EWQL's PLAY interface... I think I used Dark Abbey on this one. Awesome to hear you enjoy it. :)

Make it longer lol hehehe....no...in no sense it needs to be prolonged. 1 minute of medieval feel in this modern age is enough :) I have the similar taste as of you. Love this composition. I would have tried how it feels to put a positional "far" reverb on the whole piece. But all in all, very very nice and cheerful :)

samulis responds:

Glad you like it, that reverb idea is a good one... might give it a try. I was trying to maintain a level of intimacy with the instruments.

I don't know what to say. This piece captures all your emotions and senses. A simple looking easy listening work which is the success of it. For a day to day man to an average listener and to an advance composer, this piece presents a state of sooth and calm even if composer does not mention it. This is another success. If the message is delivered, this is the final hit. And ultimately it smashes all the points. Congrats samulis for its perfection.

I do want to add something which should not be sought offensive to some of the below respected commentators. With due respect to you and your skills as well as your musical background, its not important which libraries are used; asking notations to understand the ability of composer; sheets to know how great the work is, but the MOST important thing is to "feel" the message going out from the composition. Respectfully, this is absolutely not a constructive criticism.

samulis responds:

This piece is really a hallmark of my "tonal poem" style, where the main focus is emotion. I'm glad you appreciated that style, as it seems not too many folks like it! :D

Maann!!

Hahaha you're awesome. Thanks for yet another review!

I am in no way composer, musician, artist and whatever you may call it. I am a doctor by profession who just loves music of different genres like epic, rock, classic and any other that carries melody. Enjoy my imperfections :)
